NEWS FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Hello everyone, I want to start by saying thank you for bringing me on as your new golf course superintendent. It is an extreme honor to have your trust to maintain your country club, and I have enjoyed getting to meet you as the days have passed, and please bear with me as I am learning your names.
As the month of May approaches, we have a lot going on as the weather starts to heat up. Monday and Tuesday we will be fertilizing the golf course. I will also be applying another round of granular fertilizer to the greens, as well as micronutrients, fungicides to make sure they are growing and healthy. We will be starting a regular maintenance program. I would also like to get the bunkers edged up and in better shape.
Finally, I am excited to have Bailey Woods coming on as my assistant on May 16. He is graduating from turf school at Wayne Community College and is the son of Rob Woods the turf instructor at Wayne. We look forward to having him start and help us improve Coharie Country Club. I look forward to seeing and speaking to you on the course.
