August is here and Member-Guest is the focus to start the month. My staff and I have been hard at it getting the course prepared for our biggest tournament of the year.

We have just finished a tough month for the maintenance department. Long hours, machine breakdowns, and staff changes have made it a long hard month. We are continuing to do all we can to keep the course in good shape, but I must admit that it has been a struggle.

We will be doing our normal routines this month. We will verticut and top-dress greens on Mondays. We have a bulk fertilizer spread going out right after Member-Guest is over, this will feed our turf through the rest of the summer into fall.
