On March 25/26 Coharie was the site of the Inaugural Teeing It Up For The Kids Charity Golf Tournament. Thanks to Fred Rouse of Beach, Boogie & Blues, Chris & Wendy Spell, Jeffery & Kim Spell for all the work behind the scenes to make the event the success it was. There were 29 four-man teams participating and another 340 people attending the concerts on Friday and Saturday night. Entertainment on Friday night was provided by the Band of Oz and on Saturday night by the Tams. The event was a tremendous success and we look forward to the 2023 version. A special thanks for all of the sponsors. 100% of proceeds from the event will go to the UNC Children’s Hospital and Maynard’s Children’s Hospital.
