NEWS FROM THE POOL
Hello from the pool manager and lifeguards!
It’s hard to believe, but August is here! We are thrilled that so many of you are enjoying the pool as the sum-mer continues. We have had a LOT of people enjoying the pool this summer, and we love it! Fortunately, chlorine kills the coronavirus, so in the pool is a safe place to play!
July 4th at the Coharie pool was fun! We had lots of adults and children out here all day, and everyone seemed to enjoy all the games, activities, and refreshments the pool staff had planned. I’m sure everyone – especially the lifeguards – slept well that night!
We haven't had any parties at the pool yet this year because of COVID-19; usually we have 15-20 parties a summer. However, the pool is still open for pool parties, so if you're interested, contact me (Ms. Susan). The pool is a great place to have a party: the party room is air-conditioned and everyone has a great time playing in the water.
Please remember to sign in your guests (and yourself) when visiting the pool. Most of you J have done a good job signing in this summer, and we appreciate it.
The water aerobics classes (morning and afternoon) have been a huge hit. Surprisingly, it is a great workout! If you want to join, you can contact me or just show up. We meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from10-11, and on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 7:30-8:30. The cost for six classes is $30 for members and $45 for non-members. Please join us!
The last day the pool will be open full-time will be on Sunday, August 16. We will, however, be open on weekends through August (Friday at 3:00 - Sunday at 8:00). There is a chance we MIGHT be able to open on weekdays after school in August; it all depends on school schedules, etc. We will keep you posted about that. We will be open again on Labor Day weekend: Friday, September 4, at 3:00 through Monday, September 7, at 8:00. Again, there is a possibility that we might be open on weekends throughout September and possibly weekday afternoons. We're not sure about that yet, but since fall sports won't be held this year, the pool would be a nice substitute! We'll keep you posted.
Make the most of these summer days…we hope to see you at the Coharie pool!
Sincerely,
Ms. Susan, pool manager
