THE POOL OPENS FULL TIME ON SATURDAY, JUNE 5
It’s again time for fun ‘n’ sun at the Coharie pool! We have already had some pool parties which were great, and we're looking forward to the pool opening full time for the summer on Saturday, June 5. Pool hours all summer are 11:00-8:00 Monday-Saturday, and 1:00-8:00 on Sundays. The water feels great and is perfect for swimming!
The pool is a great place for birthday parties or any kind of party. Pool parties may be held on Monday or Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00, and also on Saturday mornings at 10:00. If you are interested in reserving the pool for a party, please contact Tim Pope, house manager at the club. You can also contact the pro Richard Kimble or me.
Rhett Saylors, who has experience as a swim coach, and who also swam collegiately at East Carolina, will be offering swimming lessons for people of all ages (even adults) at our pool this summer. He offered swim lessons at Coharie last summer with great success, and he has already had a lot of interest for swim lessons this summer. I believe Rhett has left his information at the pool…or you can always contact me to reach him. If there is a specific person you would like to teach your child, that option is available also. Please contact the relevant person.
Water aerobics classes will be offered again this summer (for men and women) on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. and also at 6:00 p.m. The fee is $30/month for CCC members, and $45/month for non-members. Classes will begin on Wednesday, June 2.
I’m looking forward to a great pool season. The pool is really looking good, and I have an awesome group of lifeguards. A final thanks to the lifeguards who have worked diligently (mostly cleaning) to get the pool ready for summer.
